With sturdy sea kayaks, the house is the ideal starting point for the exploration of the offshore islands or the neigboring salmon river. If you let yourself drift upstream with the incoming tide, you will end up back at the house at low tide a few hours later.
Who is not familiar with the yearning for boating and swimming without the constant need of evasion maneuvers? On Cape Breton Island, this dream becomes reality in a miraculous world of islands in the crystal waters of the Atlantic. Although this estuary is world-renowned (100,000 Americans say it is the most beautiful) one rarely encounters another boat, and then it is usually a fisherman, who is greeted with joy.
